Reel Fun Charters - Enjoy Your Fishing
Booking a fishing trip on a charter boat is not an everyday experience for most. When you charter a boat, these suggestions will help you make the most of your day. Your preparation should begin the night before your trip. Watch the weather and get an idea of the forecast for your day on the water. You may need to bring a rain suit or a warm jacket. A good pair of sunglasses and a baseball cap are a must. Some people who are sensitive to the suns rays may need to bring waterproof sun block. If you are prone to motion sickness, you should take medication the NIGHT before and ONE HOUR before we sail. Most people don't realize the time and expense involved in a charter boat. Not only are you getting the use of a modern, state-of-the-art fishing vessel, you are also given access to a professional Captain and crew with years of experience. You should always tip accordingly to the service you receive. Remember that the MATE WORKS FOR TIPS ONLY. Don't feel obligated if you were not taken well care of. A good rule of thumb to remember is 15 to 20 percent of the cost of your trip. Unfortunately, and unbeknownst to some, 5 dollars a person is not the best tip at all. All Captains take pride in their equipment. Please help the crew to take care of the tackle and the boat for the day. Remember the tackle you will be using can be very expensive and the up-keep is very hard work. Always secure your rod and sinker when the boat is in motion. NEVER lay the rod on the deck. Try to avoid wearing shoes with dark colored soles because they mark the painted deck. Flat rubber soled shoes offer the best grip on a wet deck. Remember to enjoy yourself , enjoy the warm sun and the smell of the salt air. Let fishing take its course. Some days the fish will jump in the boat, and some days it isn't that easy.
